Plumbing is not my thing. There are very few plumbing jobs that I feel I’m capable of doing, but today I’m going to show you a REALLY EASY one: how to replace the aerator on a water spout.
Turn the tap off. You don’t need to turn the water off at the mains, just turn off the taps for that spout.
Loosen the aerator a little with an adjustable spanner. (Remember: lefty loosey, righty tighty.)
Buy a new aerator. I bought mine from Bunnings for about $6. Mine is a male aerator which means it screws into the inside of the spout. You can also get female aerators which screw onto the outside of the spout.
Screw the new aerator onto your spout.
